Introduction

As the emissary of the King of Kings, Elijah the prophet was a man of unprecedented power, yet the battles he encountered required far more than brute strength. His role was to convince both King Ahab and the nation of Israel of the omnipotence of God. At the same time, he must make sure that his audience does not confuse the message with the messenger.
